Henrietta A. Kingston was born December 31, 1940, in Itta Bena, MS to the late Wilbert Parker, Sr. and Rosie Lee Ray. "Pokey" or "Diana Ross", as she was affectionately called, gained her wings on November 27, 2022.
Henrietta was most proud of her participation in the 1960's civil rights movement marching alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. She enjoyed experimenting with recipes and her children were her guinea pigs. She loved visiting (talking on the phone) with her friends. She undoubtedly loved her children and grandchildren. More than anything, she loved being a member of Christian Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her sons: Michael Kingston and William Parker; her sisters: Mary Cooper, Patricia Sykes and Brenda Green and one brother: James Sykes.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sons: James Parker and Carl (Sharon) Kingston of Lake Village, AR; her daughters: Cynthia (John Edward) McCree of Las Vegas, NV; LaKesha Haney and Chester Haney of Lake Village, AR; one brother: Wilbert Parker, Jr of Memphis, TN; four sisters: Shirley Portis of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Gloria Webb of Chicago, IL, Rosiland Davies of Little Rock, AR and Delbra (Frank) Reed of Lake Village, AR; seven grandchildren: Kwanee McCree, Kiwona McCre and Chautney (Ronald) Range all of Las Vegas, NV; Shakia Johnson, Shakari Johnson, Michael Mitchell and Z'Marion Haney all of Lake Village, AR; eight great-grandchildren; her very special baby: Devonte' Jackson; her very special friend: T Norma Colbert and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Visitation/Wake will be Friday December 2, 2022, at Bishop King Funeral Home in Lake Village, AR. Funeral service will be Saturday December 3, 2022, at Christian Liberty MB Church in Lake Village, AR.
